Default jwt pop charger FILTER

hey guys i had a quick question on the jwt pop charger filters. My current filter(that came with my car when i bought it) is completely gone and i was going to order a new one from here: http://www.conceptzperformance.com/C...134.71.158.124
(it's the cheapest one i can find)
my question is, does it come pre oiled or am i going to have to buy the $20 oil can as well? the website doesn't say and i have only seen the jwt pop charger kit come with a pre oiled filter.
thanks for the help.

Call them or email them would be my suggestion.

IIRC, mine came dry but I also got the oil kit. It's been years, so I don't really remember. Hopefully, someone chimes in.

Either way, you should by the cleaning and oil kit to maintain that filter.

All of the JWT filters come pre-oiled.
When you get it....wrap the filter in newspaper for a couple of days and then install. You'll see some of the excess oil coming off the filter onto the newspaper.

Kyle of importpartspro has the filter for $55 shipped.

I take it that you already have the heatshield?

just measure it and order the AEM dryflow filter as a replacement. better flow and no oiling required.

I like many others have a popcharger.I've used K&N oil when it needs cleaning-"recharging".As far as replacement,it appears your are looking for cheap.I'd check Auto Zone,Pep Boys etc to see if on of the generic cone filters they sell fits the diameter of the popcharger.Last I Looked, the filters looked darn close to the JMT filter.

alright, thanks for the help guys. i'll first clean my filter again with the solvents i saw instead of the warm water and soap that i used which didn't do much. after i cleaned it, the filter had some holes in it and seemed deteriorating so that's why i am looking at a new one.

I ran a K&N washable filter on the 350Z for about 70,000 miles:

Toss in bucket of soapy water.
Rinse in bucket of clear water.
You can dry in sun, wrap in paper towel, dry with leaf blower.
Spray lightly with WD-40.
