Default How to tell if I have a bad ECU?

So I’m at my wits’ end with this car. I’m thinking that maybe the ECU went bad and maybe that’s the source of all my problems? I tried removing my ProEFI computer and just running off the factory ECU but when I disconnect the ProEFI the car will not start, it just cranks.

The ECU’s also not logging any misfires, I’m not getting any CEL’s related to a misfire which is extremely unusual as I have a melted/broken spark plug in cylinder #2.

I’m thinking about replacing the stock ECU, can I use the ECU from a 2003 6MT 350Z in my 2003 6MT G35 Coupe? Do I just need to have the keys reprogrammed or is there anything else I might have to look for (specific part #, serial #, etc.)?

Here’s my other thread that highlights the problem and all the failed attempts to remedy the situation. https://my350z.com/forum/forced-indu...p0340-5-a.html
