New clutch..stay with OEM?
Ok..searched 'clutch' and pulled up a million posts so I figure I just ask.
My 08 350Z is N/A. 4.03 final drive, Quaife LSD, KW Club Sport. Engine tuned and CAI. It's a daily driver. And the OEM clutch held up pretty good..no slipping/burning when driven hard.
Since car is a daily driver, I really like that fact that dual-mass oem clutch is so quiet. What do you guys do/recommend when's it's time for a clutch replacement?
Go oem and pay big bucks or go aftermarket, 'upgrade' to non-dual-mass clutch a bit for less money and more noise? Thoughts?

There is often an assumption here that aftermarket is better than OEM. Poor assumption based on myth not fact. I like the 350Z OEM clutch-flywheel combination. If it suits your needs why search for better?

I believe aftermarket clutches are better, something to do with the pressure.. I don't know if I'm alone in this experience but my clutch always stuck to the floor when I launched of the hole causing excess wear and only lasted 20k miles. The jwt clutch I have now is still holding up after 60k.

^pedal sticking to the floor may have something to do with the pressure plate, but it doesn't directly cause it. It's most likely your slave or master causing the issue.
OP, as a suggestion, you could try and go with a heavier aftermarket flywheel if the stock dual-mass is out of your price range. It would lessen the typical aftermarket chatter associated with light flywheels. With this you could still use the stock clutch, I suppose.
This one is only 5 lbs less than stock.

Not trying to say it's better, just more affordable, but not dual-mass.
If you go with an aftermarket clutch, remember to pick up the HD slave.

I personally view it as an upgrade since its supposed to give better performance especially since you're not simply replacing the same part. Maybe faulty logic here but i hate spending money on something and not getting ahead. +1 on the hd slave as my oem took a **** with jwt clutch/flywheel combo after about 2000 miles. Do your own research and dont listen to the seller since they look out for their own best interest. I learned my lesson the hard way but i believe in karma so buddy will get his too.
Lastly, the chatter with non oem is quite annoying.
