I been searching and i really couldnt find the answer. Will a base differential swap into other model Zs? Will it turn on the VDC light and Slip light? Im looking to put my Z back to stock and my friend has a base model. All i want is for the lights not to come on. I know the base pumpkin have the teeth on the axel stubs where the sensors read. So im guessing the lights shouldnt turn on, please help i need to do this by this weekend thank you.

If so your perfectly fine. I did the first open diff to oem vl swap back in oct of 03. The teeth thing you mention isn't a issue.

Bumping an old thread, if im buying a base differential for a gear swap will any differential work as long as it's from a 6 speed? I have a 04 touring, found an 03 base diff for building, will this be usable and will all my sensors still work? If anyone has a link to a more informative thread that would be great.
