Default After market clutch life issue and recommendations

Just wanted some feedback on after market clutches doesn't matter on brand just to compare my experience with mine

Got a 2005 350z with powerlab gt35 400whp and tq. Purchased RPS clutch (can't remember exact rating but was supposed to be suitable for my power). After only 10k miles it is starting to slip and I see no excuse for it to last such a small amount of miles. I drive the car relatively easy only been to 1/4 mile once for just 3 passes. Is this totally unexpected? Am I totally wrong to expect longer life? Us there a recommended set up that will handle power ad last a respectable amount of miles?

I have already put my flame suit on comments on me being a lousy driver but honestly I dont drive hard and have owned nothing but standard cars and driving them for 10+ years now . Also ready for RPS is garbage and if that's the case that info would have been nice 10k miles ago lol

Because of not lasting obviously won't be going with RPS ever again so what do you guys recommend that can handle 400 wheel tq and last?

Sorry for the novel, for those that decided to read thanks for your time and hopefully your advice/input.

JWT. 50+ 1/4 passes + 10k street miles... holding string.

Previous was a 6-puck that lasted about 10k then fused itself to the flywheel LOL.

As you may already know shifting/launching habit could affect things greatly.

OS Giken twin disc. Holds power, easy to shift. I love mine.

FYI

SS clutch line also recommended..

This comes with a flywheel that has a replaceable disk which will save $$ in the long run.

I had competition 6puck stage 4 , 7k miles when I took it out it had very little wear on it. I was at 415whp 380tq and did a few launches and burnouts. Only reason I took it out is to go twin disc for my 700whp goal. BTW I went spec twin disc SS trim

10,000 miles is pretty poor, The clutch probably did not have enough ability to hold your power and it was slightly slipping under load (even if you couldn't feel it) and caused the premature wear.

I can help you get in a a good clutch that will hold your power and last much longer than 10k. Just give me a call to discuss.

Drag racing on a street disk is not recommended, 6 pucks are for drag racing, Full face disk are for street. Full faced disk typically provide longer wear than 6 pucks and also drive better on the street.
