If this comes to fruitation, believe me, there will be pics. I love shutting up people by proving it. I'll also post what parts I bought. Prices. Measurements and amount of boost and total project cost in phases ie: gaining the Hp and installation.

I would recommend going to a shop that has done the conversion before. Ive seen a few threads by zfever out of tampa, fl. where they do all types of conversions, I would ask them for advice. The vq35 is capable of making 1000hp but I if you would rather swap a rb, it's your car, good luck with your build if you go through with it.
I've neve heard of that site but thank you. I will definitely look there as well.

Like I said with the right money:
https://my350z.com/forum/shop-builds...hp-sp350z.html
https://my350z.com/forum/shop-builds...oker-350z.html
My advice, learn why most big hp builds fail, research the materials, software, parts, shops that they use to get there, and base your build off of that.

Man, by the time this swap is complete and running correctly (not accounting for the AWD conversion which to my knowledge has not been done, and it would be sitting in a shop as a side-job for over a year just for that AWD) you would have been better off buying a used GTR for 60K and ENJOYING it right now. And not only that, you could sell the GTR when you are tired of it for much more than this swapped 350z. You'll resent the project as you are without the car for a long time and waiting years for it to be perfect at which point you probably would have enough money for the GTR anyway.

wasuber needs to chime in here. He owns an 1995 Skyline and he can tell you how much it cost to mess with RB's.

Wow. On the fly swap from AWD to RWD? I've had that idea for years, just never knew enough mechanics to know how it could. That was some sick driving. Thanks again for this.

Using a G35x drivetrain is not the same. That's just like boosting a G35x which does not end up being that fast (check g35 forums). I will concede that JUN has done it, but the hell does it matter, they're in japan!

First of all, what is the point of the build (parking lot poser, dyno queen , drag, drift or roadcourse), next do you have the money for rebuilds (1000hp is a firecracker with a short fuse) then figure suspension, cage, brakes, the rest of the drivetrain etc etc. What are you really trying to do.

Probably cheaper in the long run to just build a reliable R35 with 600+ hp, a used R35 can be had for under $60k, you will probably have well over $60k wrapped into this project before you done.

+1,000,0000

If you are going to throw a ton of money at your 350Z all at once, it makes more sense to scrap your big build plans and just buy a nicer/faster car.

At the time the RB powered 350Z's were created (i.e. the Jun 350Z, FTuned 350Z, Esprite RB 350Z, Top Secret Drift 350z, etc.) the R35 was not on the market. Now that the GT-R is widely available in the U.S., these big expensive 350z and G35 builds are pretty dumb, unless you have had the car for a while and plan to keep it indefinitely, OR if are doing most of the work yourself.
