Hey think about this....what about a swap into the z from the titan v8? I know it only puts out 305hp but the tq is amazing at 379. And imagine the work you could put into a v8....you need a tranny and ecu but other than that it doesnt seem that bad. Food for though....comments appreciated

 

If it is just a bored and stroked version of the VK45 then it could be possible, don't know about the tranny though?

 

tranny wont fit because its a 5.8liter motor so i dont think it will just bolt up.......but it would be cool to try

 

Plus the gearing wouldn't be right for a sports car.

Treefity short block. The prototype 240's were even tested with a V8 before Datsun decided on the inline.

Moral of the story is if you can put a V8 in a Focus and the rear wheels don't fall off you can put one in anything.

 

What about a supra engine? Too heavy again?

the titan V8 is not the the choice engine. Its the Infiniti Q45 motor that you want. Its all aluminum and puts out 40 more horsepower. Its made for a car, not a truck. Much more feasible.
