What kind of socket do i need for these bolts that hold in the crank? Someone told me inverted Torx but i do not think that is right because the points on the torx are a lot sharper. I just want to get clarification from someone who has had to remove these.

they arnt 12 pt they are e14 female torx bits and if you try a 12 pt you will destroy that bolt and never get it loose without cutting it, ask me how many i stripped even with the torx socket(it has it right in the fsm, granted my socket is kind of worn)
the arp are the ones that at 12 point 12mm not oem, 10mm 12 point for rods like konrad said.
if you take a look at the female torx sockets they are a bit different shaped, they dont extend out to as much of a point as the male ones(as in you cant fit a male e14 torx bit into a e14 female torx socket the male will be too big.)

not sure only 12 points i could fit on there where very loose using craftsman sockets. i had the torx sockets so i used them and they fit much better but still a bit loose, plus on the old engine took a 2 and a half ft breaker bar with a half foot cheater pipe to break them loose, they where tighter then the heads. 4 of them stripped, i was able to get 3 out with the striped bolt sockets but one just kept grinding smaller and smaller and had to cut it. luckily i wasnt using those bolts or that girdle anymore.
also was it those same ones or did you mayby have arps or something else that was actually 12 point?
