Default Help Clutch/Flywheel!!

I purchased a 2003 Enthusiast Z a little over a year ago with 78k miles for my daily driver and it had an after market ProCharger supercharger installed already.
This past weekend the clutch completely burned up and it has roughly 98k miles on it now. Because of the Supercharger I am looking at an Exedy Stage 1 clutch kit with ACT Flywheel streetlite. Has anyone used this combination or have suggestions for another that would be appropriate?

site has been around since 2003, thats roughly ten years.

this question has been asked ten to the twelfth times, and luckily are all in searchable archives for your perusal.

the JWT lwfw and sprung face combo will be jsut fine, as most threads will support.

Its up to you. I use it and will be between 5-600 whp.
Id assume youre closer to 385-400.. youl be fine w a normal style clutch.

Thanks for the reply, I have read many many post on this topic, however just about everyone I have read nobody has had a modified engine. I was told that because of the supercharger that is why my clutch burned out, granted it was a stock clutch and still had the OE double mass flywheel as well. I had it dyno and it does push out 381 whp.

i hear ya.

jwt clutch n flywheel is the most common good set up for our rides.. tried n true as well.

will chatter, who cares. They all do etc.

they hold clamping force to 600 hp, so you should be just fine.

most places sell the combo for 775 shipped.

Above: A clutch that looks like the OEM clutch will perform similar to the OEM clutch. Manufactures generally refer to this as Stage #1. You can also call this clutch street friendly.

Above: Misinformed members often buy a clutch with a clamping capacity that exceeds their needs. Thinking is that if it can hold say, 400 pounds of torque, than it must be "better." The result will often be an aggressive clutch that is a pain in *** to operate for a daily driver.

NOTE: If you are shopping for a flywheel and clutch, I recommend that you buy a flywheel and clutch from the same manufacture. They are designed and tested to work together.

I decided to go with the Stage 1 Exedy Clutch kit, with the ACT Streetlite Flywheel do to amazing deals i was able achieve on these two items which made it cheaper than the JWT clutch/flywheel combo. They should be installed within this week, and will post my findings with this combo.
