Default Swapped my rear end with an LSD unit from an automatic

Blew up my stock open diff the other night so I replaced it with an LSD from an automatic. I can honestly tell the difference in handling but read about problems with speedometer and my added cruise control that worked with my old diff no longer functioning. Sure enough no cruise control and speedometer seems off.

I know I can swap the LSD from the 3.5 into my housing. I want to know is there any other way to fix the cruise control issue and speedometer issue other then having to swap the internals of the rear end?

There's no other way unless you swap internals or the rear end

your car should be feeling slower too, as the gearing in the auto is a 3.3 vs the 6mt's 3.5

Speed is the same, speed goes off your wheel speed sensor , gear ratio doesn't matter. Cruise control, don't know, I know mine still works with 3.7 gears

The car feels amazing on the highway and down low you just have to remember to keep the revs up! I have an HR with a light weight flywheel and it's decently rev happy

im not 100% on this but i think the prob is the sensors that track tire speed. i had the same prob when i put extreme low profile tires on rear as a temp thing and still had reg tires on front. my cruse didnt work and traction control didnt work either. when i swapped them back, everything worked again.

So i believe that the car could just be sensing diff tire speeds and it thinks theres a problem with the car and disables that function.

Yeah I understand this, my question is there away around it? Maybe through engine management such as UpRev?

wait you had a stock open dif but also have cruise control? only ones with an open diff are base models but they don't come with cruise control. unless of course you installed CC into a base model or if someone removed your V.L.S.D and put an open diff in your Z lol
