Regaining lost power?
So, I am at around 81,000 miles on my 03 G35 coupe(auto), and I was wondering what I can do to gain whatever power I may have through out the years. I did a search but engine cleaning is a bit vague of a term. Should I be looking at getting my engine like ported and polished? I just want to try to get back the power I noticeably feel being rob because of the miles. Thanks.

Maybe change the spark plugs, look for leaks, change hoses, sensors, oil change, etc, injectors or injector cleaner, etc. stuff like that.

I guess porting then is out of the question. I have regular oil changes, and been using injector cleaners. Have owned the car since I got it in 03 new. Spark plugs are 3 years old, and so is the air filter, thought I do have plans of getting a new intake. I don't want to go boot, nor do I really want to go extreme modding, not to mention my whole suspension needs a reworking. What kind of engine cleaning can I do, beside the use of the aforementioned injector cleaners? Thankies.

What is seafoam? As for power loss itself, I can feel the car is slower than it use to be, specially when I accelerate on freeway on ramp and other day to day driving and stuff.

Put it in your Oil and run your car for about 50 miles and do an oil change. Put some in your gas (read the directions) and you can put it in your vacuum too.
Also look into replacing your rear tires if they are anywhere decently low on tread as that can have an effect on your Butt-Dyno as well..

I would but my dealer wants to charge me close to 425 for a full 75,000+ mile service, which isn't worth it to me. I think I am going to go with upgrading my intake, getting my intake plenum clean and ported, and use the seafoam treatment. Unless, I am missing something?

Have u tried simply resetting the ecu?
Most 99% of the time, its a combination of adding totally pointless items like exhaust and intakes, running lean conditions, an ecu that's struggling to try to correct the AFRs, and time/ perception..you can get very used to your car very quickly.. take a break, youl see its still quite fast.. and also note that the car itself is actually not very quick off the line.. if you compare your car to others, you wont be happy.
Try this as a port and polish is NOT what u want on a car that requires specific air patterns Inside the I take...smoother aint always better and whos doing that work btw? very expensive)
try driving another car for two weeks..do an ecu reset on your car... then drive your car again..bet you it runs juuust fine.
Aside from the most basic maintenance, its always one or a combination of these two things...its in your head...or you added breathing parts and are running a stock unflashed ecu w factory targets in it...end of search, end of story..
( unless u have ebay taillights lol.. that's another mystery)

So, to be clear if I go with an upgrade intake(or at least filter) and plenum space, do I need to do a retune or should I be fine with an ECU reset?

You will lean.out w those items yes..you may gain 4 HP at like 5000rpms but youl lose low end and the car will simply feel slower.. it will sound great but that's it. I truly wish it wasn't so..but it is.. was there myself.
Stock air box..even non k/n filter...best way yo go until you can tune it up..
