Jeff,

Which cams got the best gains? how much do you charge to have a cam install done?

The Tomai and Nismo's are the only ones we've played with. We charge $700 for the Nismo install and around $800/$850 plus shims for the Tomai since we need to so much adjustment to them. The Tomai seem to idle rougher than the Nismo and gains seem about the same. Problem is the cars ALL act different on the dyno. I can't get two baselines the same on two different cars!!

I can't tell you how long I spent searching for info on Tomei's cams with absolutely no luck.
Christi....as much as you wrench I think I'm just going to drop my Z off at your place with a set of cams. You can practice on mine if you like?!?

I can promise you I could easily take the whole engine apart (with a little help from hubby for those bolts torqued down more than my body weight--lol), but I always seem to end up with a few extra parts when I put things back together. But I'll be more than glad to tinker around if you'll let me.

What's to ponder?! You get the work done... so what if there are left over parts. They probably weren't necessary and think of the weight you are saving!

I'd have Christi fix up my car except... well... it's already done. Maybe for the SC or TT kit...

as much as I've been screwed around on this car by people that "supposedly" know what they're doing, I'd actually trust her more than some that have had their heads and hands under my hood.
What have I got to lose right? LOL
