ya initial d owns. I want to be bunta, and me and my friend alex call my friend Itsuki cause he bought a civic and its terribly slow. It was an impulse buy, and he thought he could make it fast, little did he know that it would NEED an engine swap. I wish bunta was my dad.

The most power I've heard of from an SR20 is in the Yashio Factory S15. I think they stroked it to 2.2L and it made hp somewhere in the mid 500's. The VQ35 will beat that after some time and research

all this swap talk is crazy. for the price of an SR20 long block, you could easily build the VQ for well over 800 RWHP.
The SR20 isn't nearly as strong as most people make it out to be. It takes a decent amount of boost, but starts faltering around 400 RWHP and requires stronger internals just like the stock VQ.
And for the record, there are tons of SR20DETs making a lot more than 500 HP. Even a handful in the US. That Yashio Factory S15 isn't even coming close to what's out there.
