I dynoed 270 whp and would like any suggestions on whats another performance mod to go for. i bave been toying around with jumping some cams in but not really too sure what gains to be expected and reliability as far as my daily driver is concerned. i know roughly 20hp and 20tq is to be expected but i'd like some more input if possible.

options are
a) 75 shot
b) jwt cams

I've got about 1k to spend and i am stuck on where i should go with my car.

megan test pipes,
nismo catback
motordyne 5/16
k&n intake
uprev osiris tune

any suggestions on mods that you've done that are worth the $$$ without going turbo or sc would be much appreciated!

Cams, like headers are a waste of time and money.

I would say hp per $ he's kinda right. However 1k I would say isn't enough for cams. But it would for a used nitrous set up. 20hp on cams would be difficult at least for a DD car. If your staying NA save for cams and a long tube header.

 

The 270hp is at the upper end for your current mods.Cams are just not
worth the $.Same for headers.I have both.Did not notice a big diff to the
time &expense to do.NOS is a option.Not much more you can do unless you go
FI.

Thanks for all the replies. I am most likely going nitrous route. No boost for my baby. With all my mods I know they are supporting mods for cams which is why I'm assuming I won't get a real 20hp out of it. As far as LSD is concerned I have the enthusiast model and it came with LSD. But truelsd????

 

Edit** my money will be spent on parts only as I will do all the work myself. With regards to the tune which all I need is a retune since I already have Osiris

 

The VLSD has a max lock of 30% when in perfect condition, a real LSD OS Giken, Quaffe etc etc will provide much more traction.

Why not find a used Vortech.....sounds like you can install it yourself then get retuned with Osiris.

 

I've already expolored that aavenue. where can i find a used setup? i haven't seen anything local. if you have anyone you can suggest selling a setup let me know!

I have seen plenty of used ones here in the market place under forced induction.

I bought a Greddy Twin kit with 1000 miles for $2500. It just takes time. Which you may have while you save.
