There is no way all the ZCOT 350Z will do this mod. Maybe 1% of them. You, Me, Warren, Scott, Mike L. and a few others at the most. I'd be happy with a 10% discount for ZCOT members. Did you get to meet Ethan at Thurs meet?
Chazz, Don't forget the ZCoT member that doesn't live in the Big D. I would do it after the buggs are worked out.

Default Name?

What's the name of the shop in Dallas? Do they have a web site or phone number?

what did they do to the TB? I had mine flashed this weekend, was very happy with the results overall, but there was nothing that could be done to the TB (at least, the guys that did my ecu did not know where in the tables the TB was hidden)

Wouldn't having the Nissan dealers reflash you void your warranty?

What are you talking about the advance timing and such that Nissan does? If so the Nissan dealer where I go, it doesnt. I believe they can bump it up 4 degrees advance timing. I begged them but they said it becomes a reliability issue and they dont want to take a chance.

Anyone know what this latest software rev from Nissan does....or what it changes?

Maybe Jason or Jeff from Performance can find out for us.

Do you guys ever meet up in Fayettiville? That is where I am from (24 years there, 4 in Texas), and I make it up there about once every 2 months. I would like to meet up with some of my fellow Fayettevillians (I think I made that up)....

I guess if that's the case then they'd never know. But can't they "see" that you had been reflashed when they hook it up to the computer?

Depends on the flash. I don't know about the TS flash. But I do know that dealers do not actively search for flashed ECUs. The only time it will get reflashed without you asking for it is if there is a major problem that requires a reflash as part of the solution to the diagnosis or if there is a TSB for an update.

mjedens - I meant "hapy" - I type too fast sometimes

Overall, the gains were very good - peak HP is now at 247.0 (6200 RPM, up from 235), peak troque at 242.2 (4700 RPM, up from 231). AFR was previously overally rich up top, now stands at about 13.0:1 to 13.2:1 in the upper ranges, and the car seems to be responding favorable to it.

Not sure what the latest software does honestly, but I had mine installed at Altered prior to us doing the flash Monday....TS had just emailed it to them that morning. According to the software in my car, although its an 04, I had the original software package in my ecu....though the car ran fine before, so I suspect any changes are minor

Sorry, I miss Quoted Ethan
I hope you're going to get another dyno to compare it to, because if you compare the SAE #'S that RP's dyno will give you you are going to be sorely disappointed when compared to the STD dyno #'s you have in your sig

Ethan Fisher dropped his contact info (as in phone number) - anyone have it? Needless to say, I'm interested, but don't want to risk any damage and want to talk to him live - email takes too long.

That aside, anyone here in DFW consider getting custom tuning at Jotech (using a piggyback ECU)?

-R

Chazz, thanks for the email address!
