Default rotor wear

Wondering if anybody has noticed or had problems with wear on front rotors. I have 7600 miles and the pads are wearing into the rotors. There is a lip on the rotor when you run your finger across it.

I'm at 32k+. Had my front pads done at about 28k with lip over the rotors. The micrometer still had me within specs but I expect to have to change rotors on my next brake job probably at 45k to 50k miles.

Note, I downshift whenever possible to minimize brake pad and rotor wear.

At 28,000 I will probly need new rotors without turning them. Dealer said that was nomal wear. I said are they made out of butter. My toy T100 4x4 has 133,000 miles and I have never turned rotors. Plus it doesn't have a lip and it has bigger tires than stock.

sounds like a good excuse to ditch the very sorry stock brake system.

I'm still shocked that the stock brakes came off of an Altima. I suppose they work well on the street, but they're a huge disappointment on the track.
