Default Transmission upgrade/swap

So I recently purchased an 03 350z. I love this car but I've been reading up on them and have heard a lot about the transmissions and how they are prone to failure. Despite ambitious searching, I have yet to find anything about upgraded parts or capstone transmission from another car. So I figured the best way to get any insight is to start a thread. Any information on this subject is greatly appreciated.

Little bit of research would lead you to the cd009 trans.

oh look another person who cant use the search button. even the stock trans isnt bad, SP ran a stock 04 trans till they snapped a input shaft at 1200+ to the wheels on 28 inch slicks and replaced it with a cd009, i have no issues with my stock 03 at over 600 to the wheels

I have 03 350z track with the original tranny not the CD009. it has 145,XXX without any issues from the tranny just change to fluid when required and you all good. The only thing I've done recently is clutch upgrade JWT and updated 2004+ fork and been every pleased.....

6 speed all day.
Aight thanks guys. I've just been reading a bunch of reports of ppl, displeased by the longevity of their tranny under any true power.
Greatly appreciate the quick feed back.

Must be invisible threads because I've never seen a high hp person that actually knows how to drive (not a kid grinding through gears) have any issues at all.

They upgraded the synchros on the DE transmissions due to an issue grinding into 3rd and 5th but it doesn't affect all cars and has zero to do with power. The cd009 is the newest revision and I have yet to see any failures that were not a freak occurrence (and even then I don't remember any people reporting any). The 6 speed transmissions are very strong.
