Difference.... dont think so. I do feel somewhat of a punch at the higher end power but that all can be wishful thinking.

It took me about 1hr and 15mins? Simply because im not a mechanic and im stupid with the tools and i kept dropping the screws and fishing it back out and i didnt really follow the directions. The most consuming time was fishing out the screws.

it makes a slight whistling sound due to more air being allowed in. and the sound is a bit more agressive. but for future reference it is wise, especially with dealing with modifications to a car, to read the instructions fully and understand them.

Default Whistling is normal

The whistling is totally normal. In fact, many buy intakes just to get the mini turbo sound.

One last concern guys! After installing the pop charger i get thise rattle when i turn off the car that seems to be coming from the exhuast when its parked in nutural. However if i park the car and i have the clutch in and i turn off the car it shuts down like normal with no rattles. Is that also normal?

I installed my popcharger this afternoon too. It took me about an hour and 20 minutes or so because im not much of a mechanic either. The hardest part was punching the screws through the little intake snorkel.

The whistle sound is awesome. I had it on my 3.0CL with a drop in K&N filter, but its much more noticeable with the JWT. After about 4,000 RPM's this thing just howls....its great! The exhaust seems a little louder too though? I took my car out on I-40 and ran up through the gears 1-4 and it screams. As far as power, it seems to have a little more up high and it seems smoother but this could just be the placebo effect at its finest. Plus i havent done the 24 hour battery disconnect either so im sure it could yield more power if i do that. All in all an easy install for an idiot like myself and a fun mod for the sound if nothing else. Definitely worth $100!

I havent noticed any rattles or anything different except that the exhaust note does seem a little louder. Im not sure why though?

As for disconnecting the negative battery terminal, this will reset the ECU so that it can adjust the fuel/air ratio for the mod that was added and so that you'll gain full benefit from it. Per the workshop manual for this car, the battery needs to be disconnected for 24 hours. Not 23...you'll see no gain, but 24. Also there is some sort of procedure you can do with the gas pedal to reset the ECU as well. If you do a search, there are threads that detail how to do this. Im just gonna let my car "learn" my mod which it will do over time.

The ECU reset is not usually necessary following the installation of a Popcharger..........If you want to reset it however, here is a link to the instructions:

Thanks Wedge. Yeah i guess there really is no need for an ECU reset with the popcharger. Maybe when i throw on an exhaust, some RT Cats and a Crawford plenum then the ECU reset will be necessary ;-)

doesnt the velocity stack on the jwt contribute to the whistling noise?

It probably makes it whistle a little more, but like i said, i had a K&N drop in filter on my Acura 3.0CL and it whistled too. The JWT whistles a little more though.
