Jwt Cams ... The Review ...
After a couple of days dealing with the take apart and put back together, I finally got to drive it today.
They left me
Oce you hit, about 4k, hold on !!! They pull ... hard !!! Below is a link to the sound at idle. You can hear a slight lump in the idle. Only problem so far is, my local Nissan dealer is not willing to advance the timing and/or up the idle for me ... so, for now, no coming to a stop with the a/c off The sound clip below is crawford headers, cats, plenum, and JWT cams. That is the factory exhaust (until tomorrow's install of the Borla). If you have questions, ask.
Please right click - save target as
EDIT - had to remove due to web server problems ... email me for the vid

Good Stuff!
Whats it like before 4K? Are you loosing a noticeable amount at the bottom end? Or are your headers etc helping with that loss?
Thanks

There is a slight drop in tq on the bottom end ... just a little. But it could be getting used to driving it again (seeing as how I have been driving the SC Xterra the last 3 days including an "all nighter" to Cincinnati and back ). It feels pretty much the same climbing the RPMs. My bottle neck now is the cat-back. Tomorrow is Borla so that may "fix it all".

Glad to her everything worked out great. Are the JWT milder cams than than the Tomei's 268?
BTW how do your JL 10 w3v2's sound?... I am planning on getting them. Do you think they can push enough bass. Or should i just go wit the w6's?....sorry if its off topic...thanx

Chris, that was after a "spirited drive" home from the show. It was at a/c on idle speed.
The JL 10w3v2s produced plenty of room for the cabin and yes, the JWTs are milder then hte Tomei 268s. The tomei do have LESS lift than the JWTs though.
Didn't bounce of the rev limiter at all. Just go until 64xx and shift.

Install various with who installs them. Figure between 700-1000 $$$. CAN you DIY it, yes ... would I ? NO WAY !!!
No dyno yet, will come shortly ...
Cam Specs:
Nismo - Dur 262 - Lift .418 - HP 13
JWT - Dur 260 - Lift .428 - HP 16
The JWTs have the most lift available in any cam for the VQ35DE right now. Even the Tomei 268s have less lift. All the prople I talked to said they would go with lift over duration, especially for daily duties. JWT did the original grind for Nismo, then made their own grind which made more power. Plus, Nismos cost $1200, JWTs cost $1050.

Nope, never baselined so this will be it ... I know what everyone is thinking ... But there are enough dynos out there of base and base crawford package. Bottom line is, i bet this Dyno will nest me squarely in the top 10 NA cars !!! That should speak for itself.
