Default plan on buying concept z performance built engine any good??

Im thinking about buying a stage 2 built vq35de engine from conceptzperformance.com has anyone done so, any good reviews??
I plan on going tt pretty soon and my current engine has 130k miles on it and I dont think it will be reliable enough for tt

I think $5850 is a reasonable price for a built engine

heres the link let me know what you guys think

Its actually an import parts pro stage 2 built block(shop based in texas), there should be some threads on this but am too lazy to dig them up for you. Search for ipp long block or check out the motor build threads. IPP makes some of the best built motors in the business and Kyle is very knowledgeable.

For 400-450 wheel that motor will handle it like a walk in the park.

Also if you are going for 400-450 wheel only i'd opt for the stage 1 block to save you a bit of money. Stage 2 is really a little overkill for 450whp.

Yes, it will. The upgrade to the stage two is cams, valve springs, and 5 angle valve job. People have made 700+ on stock cams.

Im having such a hard time making a decision because I want to tt my car one day but in the mean time fully build it n/a first which would be 11.1 piston ratio and to tt I would need 8.8 ratio I really dont want to take apart an engine all over again

+1 to IPP - great product, solid reputation and customer service. I have no experience with Conceptz so they may be a great option.

you can build it for probably a couple thousand cheaper if u did it urself. Buy all the parts, get the block honed( and bored if neeed be) and have machine work done on the head. At the most would cost like 3-4k. I built my SR20 with a couple friends after never doing it before. Cost me about 2k and its good for 500+ hp. Just an idea to save some cash and make it more yours.

Why not just comp test your current motor first? Your goals don't warrant a built long block, let alone the one you are refferencing.

Either way, I wouldn't spend the money on a built motor without securing your means of forced induction first.

OP let me know if you want this moved the the F/I section. Many of the members there have experience with built engines.
