are these thing known to leak? im having some acceleration issues that i thought may be do to a vacuum leak, but a leak in the plenum would have the same symptoms?

 

The Crawford plenum itself does not have a tendency to leak, but it may be leaking around the base. If I remember correctly when I installed mine 9years ago, it was recommended to use 2 plenum gaskets to insure a good seal between the upper & lower plenum.

 

make sure the oem gasket is there, and that all the bolts around the plenum are torqued to spec.

 

ok, thanks ill take a look. should i see the gasket from the side? and torque to the oem plenum spec? should be the same as the crawford correct?
