I love what the people at Koenigsegg are doing to set themselves apart from other hyper cars. This free valve tech peaked my interest with that old Saab as a test mule for the free valve tech and increased torque by 30% and improved fuel economy by 20% and got a horsepower increase of 30%. Even though it's still in the testing phase for durability it would be cool and will be a nice alternative to FI on a Z. 30% increase would bring a stock 03-04 Z to around 370 horsepower and about 355 lb. ft of torque. I sure hope they share this technology and make it available for other cars. I'll gladly put my car up to be a test mule.

The tech is awesome but it the money it would cost to implement would far outweigh the benefits when compared to FI.

How much would you estimate? All the other stuff about the compress air pumps etc. are just future tech, i'm just focusing on what they did to that Saab and doing it to a different car.

Simply amazing system. I would love to see this technology implemented in other parts of the industry as well. The figures are very impressive.

No idea on cost but the money put into custom machine work on the heads alone would probably cover the cost of a FI Z in the classifieds.
