Default Need Mod Advice

I have some money burning a hole in my pocket. Need some advice on the next mod I should do.

My current setup -
2004 SS Roadster Ent
Nismo Suspension, sways & exhaust
LMGT4's w/ Nitto NT555

I am planning on going FI (as soon as the Dream Works SC has been out for a while)

Just looking for a performance mod to drop $1-2K... advice?

well if you are planning on going FI... id stay away from Pulleys and Intake mods... you can throw a pop charger on for now just to keep some sound from under the hood keeping you entertained...

maybe open up the NISMO Exhaust a little more with the JIC Y Pipe...

Headers if you know you are definatly going with a SC...

Would the increase in performance with an exhaust mod be more pronounced than that achieved by a driveline mod? (clutch & flywheel)

clutch flywheel will help your acceleration power.. more then your peak HP...

like the TILTON Flywheel / clutch adds 30HP during acceleration.. it doesnt add to the peak HP...

so acceleration will be increased...

it is cheepest to install a flywheel and clutch if you are having a transmission problem while the tranny is out... pop a new flywheel and clutch in...

we have both the NISMO Flywheel and Clutch availlbe... as well as JWT flywheel and JWT Clutch (which has a little more clamping force then the NISMO...

the crank pulley will give you the same results as a lightend flywheel but with horse power across the board.. less mass...

high flow cats. Either Kinetix($389) or RT($559). Crank Pulley($189) Nismo/Crawford Headers $1100 and install should make up the rest.

Will I still pass a smog test with high flow cats & headers?

I would agree with Jason that you should stay away from intake mods and the pulleys if you plan to go FI. The idea of a new flywheel and clutch is something that you may have to do for FI anyway so that would be a good option. I also agree that either HF cats and/or headers would be a good route to go as well. You may not see as big of gains without any intake mods, but once you get the SC it will be pretty sweet as long as it is tuned properly.
