Default Basic mods for hp gains. Nooby question.

Hi all. I'm kinda bored and want to do something to my z.

I've been reading a bit about plenum spacers and pop chargers being a fairly cheap and simple way to add some power. Are they worth it and what maker would you reccomend?

if there are any other cheaper simple mods you'd like to reccomend please do.

Are these even worth messing with or is it better to wait and just save up for a single turbo setup?

Another question and actually the main reason for this thread. My cars an automatic. Anyone out there actually put a turbo in an automatic? Just want some opinions on doing that.

None of this has been done or written about or even dyno tested yet.

Want more power? Save up and get a mustang. It will also match those wheels.

First thing to make it fast is trade it in for a manual.

1st mod should be a new Kanuter Valve- 25+ whp easily
2nd mod- Flux Capaciter- good for over 88mph
3rd should def be stickers..... lots of stickers... each one adds 5+ whp
swap out your auto trans for a Chevy turbo 350 trans and add a shiftkit (sweet)
BEST MOD: use the search function on this forum douche

You really need to use the search function before asking basic questions which have been answered countless times. Don't expect everyone to spoon feed you answers to such questions. Read some of the threads, and you might even learn something you weren't even thinking about.

No need to get harsh, lol

I've found some of the best tips for moderate gains by just clicking on the Top 100 FAQ's

The fellow Z members on here have the greatest knowledge when it comes to our cars already posted

Point, Click, Mod- it's that easy

Lmfao sorry bro

I'm just trying to get peoples opinions on if it's worth it to do these smaller mods for smaller gains. I'm leaning towards just waiting and saving up $2k or so and getting a super charger after the pm i recieved. But the fact that my cars an auto makes me hesitant.

remember with Forced Induction, you have to pay someone to install it, you will need new fuel system, injectors, tune, exhaust.... you have to be able to stop it and control it.. so that 2k is WAY low on actual cost

LOL @ $2K for FI.

What about supporting parts and tuning? Going FI is not as simple as bolting on a super (or turbo) charger. SMH

You're looking at around 8k for a good FI system with some supporting mods. That's without a tune or install.

So even the most basic set up it will end up costing me lets say 10k for EVERYTHING.

I was thinking it was going to end up being 4-5k for a basic setup with install and everything. I guess if you do it do it right huh?

The words cheap and simple mods just don't apply to the 350Z. Multiply your 4-5K by 3 and you'll be in the ballpark

What type of gains were you going for in the first place??? There are plenty of small gains you can achieve w/o going the FI route. If you are bored, like you previously stated, then some of the smaller mods should suffice and won't break the bank.
