So I have an 03 and one of my rods said deuces and blew out the side of my motor. Im getting a new one but having trouble finding an 03 motor. I know the 04,05 motors are different but what do I have to do differently if i get one of those? Ive been searching for the last few days but can't really get a defined answer. Some say its a direct swap some have told me otherwise.

To my knowledge the vq35de is a vq35de. As long as it's not a rev up or hr it should be a direct swap :shrug:

 

OP here is your chance to drop a LS2 or LS3 in your Z! oh and a T56 tranny.

 

03 to 06 DE is fully interchangeable , 05 and 06 offer rev up motors and they can be used with minor part swapping. 07 and 08 have the HR, lot of work to use one
