Default Going to the dyno need help!!!

Im going to the dyno on Saturday for the first time. What do I have to do/ask/look for? I know its a dynojet and he charges 120$ for three runs with an A/F. What gear should i dyno in 5th? What should the tire pressure be? As i said iv never been to a dyno nor have I ever seen one so any help or advice would be great!!!

Tire pressure is not a huge deal. 5th gear is ideal. Some shops will dyno in 4th because of the speed I guess. Just for ***** and giggles I did a dyno in 4th and one in 5th immediately after. Aside from the speed and a smoother uncorrected graph in 5th, they were within 3 whp and that is within the error of the machine.

Make sure the radio and heater are off. VDC absolutely must be off. $120 for three runs is pricey.

Let's see... You might consider disconnecting the battery overnight tonight and then driving like a bat outta hell the day before the dyno but take it easy on the way over there unless it's a long drive.

Also, if the SAE corrected numbers don't look high enough to brag about then have the guy print you out a sheet with the uncorrected numbers. That's what a lot of guys on this forum do and it's good for about 10 HP.

Where are you in NJ again? The shop I dyno at regularly will do it for 75 with A/F I think. I'll check for you today.
