multidisc clutch owners does RJM Pedal make that big a difference?
I recently completed my 6mt swap in my G35 and am currently using the stock pedal. My current clutch setup is:
OEM pedal assembly
Tilton Master cylinder
full SS line from master to slave
OEM slave
Exedy triple carbon
The clutch is obviously significantly harder than oem which doesn't bother me at all but the engagement window is very small and engagement is extremely harsh, which makes it not so fun to drive daily(though I don't daily the car). Not to say I didn't expect it, and the car is driveable, but definitely more trouble than I would like.
I have read many threads and reviews about the RJM pedal assembly but not too many experiences noted with multidisc clutches and none that I can find with the exedy triple. I am just curious for the multidisc guys - preferably carbon unsprung hub, does the RJM assembly really make that big a difference? Im hoping that it could make the car easier and more fun to drive with the current setup.

with the rjm you can slowly let out the clutch, no gas, have the car roll forward without stalling.
if you cant do that now, then it will make a difference.
I have it on my spec twin disc. triple carbons need heat to work properly, so YMMV.

yea I definitely notice it gets more grabby as it heats up. I can get the car to roll forward without gas if I am on a flat area and let it out very very gently, but the engagement window is so quick and even worse when warm. I guess the RJM would be a good investment for me.
if you can let out the clutch and not give it any gas, and not stall, then your clutch isnt grabby

well I can ease it out very slowly but the car bogs down if i give it no gas, but I am able to get it going. I cant do that in traffic though as it would take too long. Im glad it helped you out that much. I placed my order yesterday so hoping it will help. the clutch is pretty unforgiving though being how light the flywheel is, and the carbon discs along with it being unsprung.

I've got it set to maybe 60% and it feels pretty close to stock. Its adjustable in a lot of ways, so it takes some playing around to get it right.
The easiest way for me to tell it works is letting other people drive the car. With the OEM pedal, next to no one could drive it, and even really experienced drivers would stall it. After the pedal mod just about everyone is able to get it on the first try.
On a side note, I have a first gen version of this part if anyone wants to try a used one on the cheap. It needs a cheap replacement part which is why I upgraded to the v3 in the first place.
Installed my RJM pedal yesterday and am driving the car today. It definitely made a difference though I am having trouble with it. I can only get 3 full turns out of the AFP adjuster **** from 0% instead of 10 as stated in instructions which means maxed I am running at ~30%. The clevis fork is also maxed on my tilton master, and engagement is pretty low, so hopefully can get that fixed. but The product looks great and does work. Took me about 1 hr to install. Hopefully I can get the issue resolved with the adjuster ****. cant wait till I can turn it up to 70%
edit: Ryan was able to help me troubleshoot the issues and now I have it set at 85% for my exedy triple carbon. There is still a point that it becomes grabby, but way easier to daily now except on hills. definitely recommend this to anyone.
