Horrible clutch grinding noise help!!!
Hi guys, I have 03 Enthusiast with new CD00A transmission and new clutch installed. I'm re-using the flywheel. Car currently has 62k miles on it. After the transmission and clutch swap, I started getting these NASTY grinding noise from my clutch.. here are the symptoms:
- Only happens with 1st or Reverse in Low RPM (just about at 2k RPM).
- I press the clutch all the way, put the gear into 1st (or Reverse) and slowly let out the clutch & give a little bit of gas to get the car rolling and when my clutch is released about 3/4th out, the clutch makes a loud grinding noise.
- The grinding noise is loud enough for me to hear inside AND outside of the car.
- Clutch doesn't slip, gears themselves don't grind.
- When the grinding begins, I can FEEL the grind through my clutch.
- If I start my car really slow at lower RPM (keeping my RPM down to about 500-1.5k RPM) the grinding usually doesn't happen.. but it's obviously harder to get the car rolling.
The grinding does not make my car rattle or anything. 90% of it is just the noise and it's bugging me a lot. It's been about 500+ miles since I got the new transmission and the clutch.. And it's definitely not my throw out bearing.
Anyone have answers to this problem? This grinding noise is extremely embarrassing... help me with this please!
