Default Quaife LSD Install; Are These Parts Needed?

I am having a shop install a Quaife LSD in my 06 350z Touring as this job is a little over my head. Along with labor they quoted me qty. 2 OEM Nissan Differential Carrier Bearings at $122.46 and qty. 10 OEM Nissan Ring Gear Bolts at $33.80. Are these parts needed/recommended? I was under the impression that the Quaife would be plug-and-play.

Any recommendation on oil to use in the new diff? I was currently going with Motul Gear 300 75W90, GL-5.

Bolts get torqued up then 30* added to them, it recommends replacement in the manual, the bearings though good practice to replace, if they look good, run fine, no noise or wear, I don't see why not reuse. In the very proccess myself but keeping standard bearings, carriers and shims(if the tolerances are ok) what lock up did you specify on the lsd? You will also need new oil seals for the stub shafts.

Hmm ok... The car has 48k on it and no unusual noises so I think I'll try and reuse the existing bearings.

I didn't specify any particular lock-up, just ordered this...

Quaife isn't adjustable. Bearings are a tough call. I'd replace them but they are very expensive and you only have 48k on them. Probably do what your mechanic says if you trust him. I wonder why they didn't quote all of them. Nothing wrong with Amsoil either. Skipping ring bolts is not an option. They are torqued plus 30deg and are not to be reused.

Carrier bearings are easier to replace during the swap and could prevent problems down the road. I'd suggest going along with the shop's recommendation and save yourself some problems down the road.

It is extremely hard to remove pressed on bearings for re-use. Might take more labor to re-use than getting new ones. Their recommendations are spot on, follow them.

That is exactly the response the shop gave me- difficult to remove pressed bearings. Thanks everyone for the responses!
