Default Z33garage slowness gets dynoed

Mods feel free to move this if its the wrong section.

I recently went to Kings Performance in OrlandoFL for one of their $35/ 2 pull dyno sessions with CFZC.

2005 350z DE Performance ( the black one) 105k miles
Momentum Performance CAI
MD 5/16s Plenum Spacer
SRS exhaust ( I know "ebay" but my OEM one had a hole in it when I got the car)
Stock Cats
Stock factory tune

242hp/218tq

I am pretty sure my cheap exhaust, stock cats, and lack of tune are to blame. Am I correct in this assumption?

Currenly I am looking into getting dual momentum Perf (Z1 now) exhaust, Y pipe and Res TPs. Then I will tune the car and hope for the best in hp...

Dyno sheet and video below.

Think thats better then what should have been expected... Doesn't mean that much without a baseline comparison because the dyno could be set up conservative or exaggerated... But at least you have a good baseline to compare with after you so future mods.

It is a Mustang Dyno, which tend to be humbling.

According to the shop the mustang dyno was calibrated the day of, so to quote them " there isnt any performance % decrease or increase due to the dyno."

The odd part was how another DE ( at least I think), with everything stock made 253...

Could have been a rev up though...

they are still known to read low. so many factors can affect the numbers, tire pressure, how tight it is strapped down, outside temp, location, etc. it is just a bragging number essentially, see if you can find a shop that has a dynojet

It was 42 degrees out ( in Central FL)
Tire temp was 32

My car was the 3rd car on the rack, and it seemed to me that they really did not get their butts in gear till maybe the 5th or 6th car.

I just wonder if I lost power or something, but I am glad that she held well under load, since I daily the Z slowly to work.

When you open up that exhaust, you're going enjoy seeing the new numbers.

Is that before or after my wife opens a new hole in me for going over the budget lol

I need to get some small sponsors going to help out the video series . My own funding is making progress very slow.

I have a pair of HR GTM test pipes but I need to find a cheap used set of HR /VHR headers for them. Then I have to worry about a tune since the breathing mods will be pretty much done... ( I think)
