Default ASP Crank Pulley!!!

I am currently talking to ASP racing about making a crank pulley for our VQ35's. i have a g35, but same engine so same crank pulley. I think for their pulleys, they use harmonic dampners, even though we probably dont need it, but some have expressed concerns about that. And they make em in the USA. Very high quality stuff. I guess, im just informing you guys and trying to guage interest for them.

They cater to domestics like Hypertech, and I would be suprised if they did this.

They are called Harmonic Balancers and the rubber seal inside the pulley is an inch thick. Our cars are internally balanced, the LS1 that run these are not.

It would be like them starting from scratch design wise, if they built it though, it would be a good product, I don't think they will though but I am glad you are taking the initiative like we did with Hypertech to at least ask.

actually, ASP makes pulleys for a lot of imports. Mitsu, Nissan, Mercedes, etc. you can see them at www.aspracing.com as for them making it, they said that if demand is high enough, they will make it. And I guess they will make their pulley off of the design of a stock pulley. so maybe there will not be a harmonic dampner. but anyways, it will surely be a quality product.

I'm pretty sure there is a dampner on the stock pulley.

There is a very small one, nothing like the big dog V8 ones they make, if they made one for us it would sell , period. They are rock solid, I didn't know they did Imports, then again, this is my fist import , I know UR didn't include one so if ASP did they might push that fact to increase sells, it would also lower prices!

Good Luck and keep us posted!

How much difference can a pulley make? I mean unless going all out race. It think it's purely for cosmetics. But good effort anyways nuttyprof.

Lightening and changing the size of the pulley reduces engine load, thus freeing up a few HP. Probably around 5-8 hp in this application from looking at the UR example (if I remember correctly).
