Default So I changed spark plugs for the first time aaaand..

The two spark plug chambers closest to the firewall were FILLED with oil...The others plugs were oily also but those 2 were drenched head to toe in oil.

What causes this? Im assuming its a huge fix.. Theres 155k on my 03 and its never given me probs since I bought it from my best friend a couple years ago...

Probably the seal that separates the spark plug tubes and the valve cover. Usually they are located on the underside of the plastic valve cover. This is a known issue.

That you need to replace the whole valve cover to fix.

Ouch. Why do I need to replace the valve cover?

EDIT: Is this the fix I need to do? Look @ 21:08 in this video

I'm not watching the video but yes you need to replace them. I bought mine from Nissan but now I know there are cheaper options. I have seen people cutting out the old ones and installing new gaskets but meh. I'd rather do it right

Use pematex 1 min gasket. Stick your finger in the hole and go around where the valve cover meets the head. problem solved in 10 minutes. (make sure it's clean first)

This is extremely common on nissans from what I hear. But yes as stated above you need to replace you valve cover gasket which entails removing the valve cover. Take short cuts at your own risk.

Yeah I imagine chunks of gasket maker in my motor wont be the best....With how much oil I had inside, Im guessing the hole is pretty big.

Im looking for seals right now. Does anyone know which seals to get? I think the guy in the video used fel-pro seals but there was a problem with sizing or something..?? not sure what happened there

I'm amazed nobody has already mentioned how common these are. The seal is part of the valve cover and are non user serviceable.

R&D factory sells a kit for you to drill out the baffle on the bottom of the valve cover so you can replace the seals for much cheaper than replacing the whole cover.

RND has seemingly been gone for quite a while, unfortunately.

Mine have been leaking for the past 100k miles, plug changes are done every 60k and I just drain the oil out at that time. No big deal.

It's not a big enough leak to harm anything. Mine had oil in them as well. I put new plugs in and have been driving on it for 40k miles so far.

LOL, I'm done. Please let someone else work on your car. I gave you solid advise for a quick/cheap and permanent fix.
