Default New clutch has heavy pedal.

I got a new clutch installed a few weeks ago. I've put a good solid 500 miles to break it in nice. I haven't been beating on it at all. Today I went over a speed bump and heard a loud pop. To me it sounded like it came from the suspension or something. I parked left it for an hour or two and started driving again. I noticed the pedal got really heavy after a couple pulls. What exactly causes the clutch to get so heavy. Is it my clutch going out? I looked at the clutch cable and it doesn't look broken. Plz someone respond.

Shifts like butter. I have noticed that the pedal disengage point was at the floor and has moved to the center. Fells like how it should honestly. Today however it really doesn't have much fell just super heavy. Also I haven't smelled the clutch burn at all.
