Default Clutch pedal issue

I've read pretty much every single thread as far as pedal goes. My clutch was working alright, but the fluid was black. I bled the system, then when I pushed the clutch in, the pedal offered no resistance, and didn't return. I replaced the master with a duralast, put in a new clutch line from Z1, and put in a new duralast slave. After several pedal operations, slight pressure built up, but not enough to fully return the pedal. I've checked the pivot ball, put in the old master with the new slave; old master w old slave; new master with new slave; and new master with old slave. The old slave leaks, but that's where I've gotten. Any experience with bad parts from autozone? What's my next step?

Does sound like a bleeding issue, and some have found it easier to bleed the slave by holding it compressed while bleeding.

As for,the new parts, there are a lot of cheap hydraulics out there now, and friends with older German cars have told me about issues with them being assembled incorrectly or having seals which disintegrate almost immediately. I've heard the worst about parts from Rock Auto, but everyone is trying to go for lowest price, so quality suffers.

There is a restriction valve in the stock clutch line. It makes it a pain to bleed. I'm betting you still have air in it.
