350z jdm,2003 fairlady,fittedl bose stereo which was not original to car now not working just says wait then secure how do I get it to work

 

You'll need a code to unlock it because that head unit is paired with the parent Z's ECU.. Pull the head unit and get the serial number off of the back. Then call up the dealer and tell them the serial number. They should then be able to give you the unlock code.

 

Thanks for your response also do you know if I will need it paired to my ecu/key so I can enter the code as it does not ask for code just shows secure and nothing else will work on the stereo.

 

The key is tied to NATS and the stereo isn't. You just need the unlock code to activate the head unit. If you're having problems with your key, that's a separate issue.
