Default Hr cd009 swap in a de 350z?. Hellp!

Hi guys,I'm new to the 350z world so please forgive me. I have a cd009 out of an hr and want to swap it in to a 04 350z. What would i need to do that? I know there is a thread about that but i can't seem to find it. Can anyone link it to me? Thanks in advance.

Nope, won't fit as is. First off, the trans out of an 07-08 HR car is technically NOT a CD009 (009 was used only on DE engines); correct nomenclature for the HR transmission is JK4xx. Small detail, sure, but the major sticking points:

Bolt pattern and to a lesser degree, slave cylinder configuration, input shaft/shaft bearing & housing are all different. (Slave can be converted using ZSP CMAK kit but bell housing would need to be swapped to fit, along with input shaft on the trans, IIRC.)

Do you know for a fact that it came off an HR (or VHR) car? What's the case identification number? CD009 and earlier transmission cases were all marked "CD-0x", newer JK (and EA models for Z34+) transmissions carry a "CD5-x" designator on the case.

Here's kind of a general factoid thread on the CD009: https://my350z.com/forum/engine-and-...-to-cd009.html

Here's the thread on doing a conversion from the JK ("HR CD009"): https://my350z.com/forum/engine-and-...onversion.html
