manual, in the picture it looks like it runs from the trans to somewhere back towards the rear of the car but I cant find the other nipple for the hose to slide on

Rusty is correct. I managed to find some pictures to make it easier for you to see what he is talking about.

there is a metal tube bracket that the hose connects to and is secured in place by 1 of the upper bell housing bolts.

Is it a possibility that mine doesn’t have that I didn’t see it last time and I ran my hand up there on the lift with lights couldn’t see anything if so is it bad to run it without the hose

Depends where that metal tube runs to. If it is nothing more than a vent to atmosphere then I don't think you will have a problem. If it vents to somewhere else then it could have side effects.

Did you check around your garage and see if it is maybe lying around somewhere?

Age of the car, more than likely the trans was serviced before you got it. Wouldn't be suprised if someone left it out. Easiest way to see if it is there, get under the car (passenger side) and look up with a flashlight.

i dont think youll have an issue without it. All it is a vent that comes from the transmission to that bracket which should have a one way valve to vent out and wont let water/dirt back in. What you can do for piece of mind is just run a hose from that transmission fitting up into the firewall high enough so water doesnt get in and your set. OR just but the missing part with the part numbers above and call it a day
