Default CJM fuel system: return line question

Can anyone offer some insight on how to run the return line at the fuel tank? I’m struggling to fish it between the body and the tank. I’ve tried wire and can get my fingers on it but the fitting seems to be too big for the gap. I really don’t feel like tearing the back end of my car apart just to drop the tank.

It helps if you pull it up towards the outboard side of the tank. It's trickly to do for sure.

Thanks, I'll give it another try tomorrow. I just ordered a plan B package from Summit in case I can't get it.

I did find I can run it out to the far passenger side between the tank/body but then it's not long enough to still reach the regulator. Seems it is intended to be routed in the gap between the existing hard lines... but bending it and getting past the tank seam is ****** hell.
