Default I need advise on how to proceed with a leak

I took the engine out in a believe of replacing the rear main seal, instead i found a clean rear main. I found when disconnecting the transmission it leaked a puddle of what i believe by smell to be transmission oil dripping on the floor (pics on link) from the bell housing and some on the inside of the torque converter. I don't know if that's normal or where to check for the leak, any idea would be appreciated.

The front pump seal or torque converter seal where it slides in to the transmission will leak fluid into the bell housing area. I'd inspect the torque converter stub to make sure it's not compromised and if it's ok, replace the seal. If not, you may be able to find a sleeve for the torque converter shaft along with a new seal. Or, it may be time for a new converter.

Edit: The torque converter is full of transmission fluid, that's normal.
