Haha, i need to be more active in the forums. I learned alot from my escapades, and surely will search this thread again. I wouldnt mind checking out the new thread. My update isnt that exciting, but it's an update!
My cc debt and recent lifestyle choices (seeing a few girls, and eating a few meals that are not super cheap home cooked etc..), has me financially cooked lol. I kind of just got back on track, where im saving every dollar i can. The goal is to raise credit, get a balance transfer card, and save on interest. This has halted the z love..
The de has a crankshaft pos sensor A problem, AGAIN. My less than perfect shop, had previously shimmed it out, because flywheel was cutting it. I know a 350z racer guy, that is helping me fix it next week. He is also helping me order brakes for the HR. Im getting remanned brembo calipers. 4 piston front, 2 rear. Im keeping factory size. He is getting me some kind of high dust pads he recommends. He was going to just get me centric blanks, but we are looking into high carbon/cryo.
The hr brakes dont feel very good. I went on like my first real, short run, for fun. After 20 mins, they felt grainy/bumpy. They also stopped working as well. Now i feel this quickly when they heat up, or from super high speeds. I made the smallest damage spot on front left of HR bumper, and removed one fender liner. I went off the road barely, in rain, and clipped the edge of a railroad tie. I hopped it with my left tire. Nobody can find damage from it. I think it may ride different, but it's so subtle. Unrelated, but i think the diff bushing is leaking, on hr. It is deppressing, abandoning the DE for now.. On another note, I paid 650 to fix HR power window issues. I had to take it back a second time, before it was fixed.
im at 79k, up from 56k, on the hr. I was thinking about you all, dugan day. I did say I would post a vid. The trans and brakes are failing though.. The z ownership has been full of excitement, and stories i havent told.. Im really trying to chill out now lol, it's so hard. I can't find most recent alignment sheet, but it wasn't bad. My tire guy couldnt believe the toe wear, on fronts.

one financial thing you might want to look into is a debt consolidation loan, way cheaper interest rate and one payment instead of multiple

Next time, im going to tell the cc companies, that i plan on getting that loan. They should make up their own payment plan. As much as i would like to say i did some really cool moves, and my passenger ripped it off, no.. I just got on the interstate, without even realizing my passenger door was ajar. I reached across while driving, and opened then closed it too hard.. Then i was just sitting there with it in my hand, cruising at 70 lol. I will say I did not have a passenger during my mistake in rain. I did however, have a passenger somewhat recently. I went for a turn fast, and it was funny seeing them not know what to grab. They were reaching everywhere, trying to find a non-existent ohh-**** handle lol.
the outer passenger door handle, also no longer works. Cool z guy, said that he gets amazon ones that are cheap, because the oem ones break too. Ill probably do that soon. The engine seems very strong and reliable, and havent done oil gallery gasket.

ohh yeah ive thought about that. Im still hoping they will approve me for a balance transfer card, and i can actually pay a little down first. Its not as big as debt, as ive had in past. Then i will have 0 interest for 12-18 months. Ill definitely go for the loan, if i cant rise up, and score a good balance transfer card this next spring. Or just slowly pay it down.
edit: the best rate i can find on those loans, is 4% less than my credit cards lol. I think thats a rip off. 25.5 percent, 29xx percent. Whats the difference... im going to atleast push my score into the mid 700's if i can, before getting a lower interest loan on the rest of it. Im about to do brakes though 😆

Hey! Nothing tooo exciting. Well, maybe. I did wreck lol. That, and the fact that im still not financially fixing my whips much, has made me not want to post lol. In my defense though it was on straight ice in like January. I mean maybe i shouldnt be shredding mountain roads at high speeds, when its 20 degrees outside and my 350z says ice lol. But it said that by my house, and everything seemed dry and ok, and my summer tires were hot.. but then the weather completely changed around one corner it was crazy. Like it wasnt snowing at all, go around the corner and its solid ice and snowing heavy. I kind of bounced off a concrete thing, preventing me from going in the real bad place. While trying to control it traveling backwards, still pretty fast.
it would have probably been totaled, z dude came in clutch and threw on some used arms real cheap. I cracked the rear spring bucket, and bent lower torque arm and control arm. Then i took it for alignment, and it still couldnt get rear tire aligned. I got an ebay oem spec bumper and fender, and it painted. The paint guys are super underground, if i was rich id pull up all the time like NFS lol. Z dude said prob bent upper, but then he was busy. I took it to a good shop that claims, they dont trust his bent upper diagnosis. They got me 800 dollar adjustable arms, and idk what brand. It was supposed to fix the issue. It still didn't. They now say i need adjustable spring buckets, because the subframe is shifted or bent. They said the only other option, would be to get into high labor with the subframe.
The diff bushing does look to be leaking on that red one too. I still have all parts for the trans, and i may do it soon! It is non drivable i think now. A week ago the same window broke completely again, that i started having problems with after i hopped the railroad tie on that side. I need to take it back to that same shop, that has only done my window, and does not accept customer supplied parts. Then i tried to drive it a day later, and the clutch pedal was barely up. It engaged just off the floor, so i got scared and parked it. I might affirm a new trans off z1 for this work too! The fifth gear synchro grinds bad, and its had dirty fluid in it.
the blue z has been doing swell. I ride all kinds of dirty sketchy places, and have surely scraped my new trans barely, on something. I hope the spl bushings really are self cleaning. I want my underbody protectors and fender liners on soooo bad, but i want another new bumper for it. Maybe i will be more aggressive with the heat gun and get rid of the fold dimples, this time. The engine, is running great at 106k miles! I got it at 56 or 58 idk cant remember lol. It now uses 3qts of oil, per 4k miles. While driving it kind of hard, just sometimes.
I no longer use the de dipstick, its hard enough to even find a flat surface here. Instead, i have a de prescription. I have my 5l motul oil labeled with the mileage to add the proper amount. So i slowly add some, to where its now 3qt per 4k miles. Then, when i change my oil, i measure it. I also subtract just a little bit for whats left in the engine or oil filter. Every time I was spot on!! Whats crazier, is last time was when it increased to 3k miles. I abandoned the prescription and added a whole qt of extra oil, because it felt healthy like that, and i swear i could sense the low oil from how it runs lol. Then it indeed was spot on, when i was scared dumping it out, 500 miles later.
The de is still getting it's true coilovers before engine, unless engine goes bad. Trans has been great, but gets super hot below shifter, and is rougher randomly than your average aluminum flywheel at idle i think. Z dude may have me convinced to also install this 4in intake and tune before new engine. So it can act as a base tune, with the new engine and 4 in intake.
The first photo is most recent, and other is before camber arms i believe. There is also now one bent egg shaped wheel on each z, and both brakes are shot, but i have nice brake upgrades purchased for one!

yepp lol. Im going to try and fix them first, instead of hoping in a third z. I really need to make more money, or dedicate everything to them. I even went to a music festival this year. Stuff like that totally sets me back.
Well, we have an update! Man i really regret fixing that red car lol. I really didnt want insurance to total it, or insurance to go up. Buttttt, i hoped a railroad tie with that left tire. I still have front suspension or steering problems from it, and they still cant fix the electric window properly, that broke from the impact. Ive taken it three times acting all crazy and ocd, to the best super busy, performance shop in town (that isnt double or triple price...). They fixed a tie rod, and some ball joints they said weren't bad..
Then the rear i wrecked, we fixed everything to get that tire in alignment, then i think i told you they said it was my bent or shifted subframe. I never changed the diff fluid, and that bushing is leaking. Im still considering an adjustable spring bucket, or true coilover "bandaid" for now..
i just paid 1600 when z dude savior, that knows what he is doing (guilty garage), only wanted 1400. He installed my trans, all the trans aftermarket stuff, put fluid i didnt pay for in my brand new trans i bought for this now a lemon lol. He installed my bmc brace, and these remanufactured brembos, metalic racing pads, rbf600 fluid, and high carbon rotors. In the new red HR z. I love and hate my clutch. I have the z1 road race clutch. It is more aggressive than the clutchmasters fx300 in my blue car. And honestly, id never put it on a street car again lol. And i love it so far at the same time! The blue car with the AL flywheel and fx300, you have to rev it up high, but you can still catch it at the bottom of first gears rpms, and take off kinda normal.
the z1 road race clutch, if you dont take tf off, it chatters bad unless you slip it to 2500 rpms. You literally have to take tf off, or slip the clutch, or make noises that make your heart cringe.
Also, I need your alls input!! Kind of on the blue car too. But after all this rambling again, ill save that for later. So i really trust z dudes work. I have the z1 brand new csc delete kit (not old bad one). I have the tilton master cylinder, stainless clutch line, new everything. I dont have a diff brace, diff is old and shitty. I thought all the new trans stuff would fix this, but under WOT the rpms still do tiny stutters the whole time, and i can almost feel something..

Well, im honestly not sure if it is. I was told it was bent or shifted from my wreck, but i was going to wait awhile to get the built diff. The diff bushing is leaking. Other than that, im trying to nail down, why my rpm guage stutters. Its little tiny blips often, when under WOT. It may be the guage, it did get stuck just one time. I feel like i can almost feel the blips though, and i thought maybe it was the diff, and no diff brace? I hope its not my oil gallery gasket lols. I guess i still need to do motor mounts, maybe that could do it? If it's motor mounts that's glorious, because im doing them anyways soon. I was just very surprised when all the new trans stuff didnt fix it.
If you want to hear about the og blue car, it got it's true coilovers (feal 441+) last of its bushings, and it's still not correct either lol. This arm in the rear (i think its a camber arm, not sure, i will check), maybe you remember it was installed in the wrong place. Well, i had the oem ones for that place, even though i want all spl everything . They were supposed to swap those around, so they could finally align me. And they still didnt lol. They even originally said its in the wrong place. Now, a year later, they say its in the correct place, and i need another arm. The only thing that's throwing me off, is z1 said it shouldnt mount there, if it's the wrong arm. But idk, ill probably just take it straight to z dude, anytime his schedule frees up (rare). He said he is a z suspension expert, and he loves when i buy parts too, so maybe he can just figure it out lol.
