Newbie here. I've come across a 2004 350z (I think it's the performance package) that needs an engine replacement. Does anyone have experience with JDM Engine Zone? Or some place else I could get an engine from? I'm looking for a direct replacement. I don't plan on doing anything to the car other than driving it around for fun and it will not be my daily. Maybe put on an exhaust, intake, wheels, basic stuff down the road. Nothing to crazy.

By the way, I've never done a swap before. I'm a mechanical engineer so i like to take things apart and put them back together. I've always wanted to do this since I was a kid. I have plenty of support (mechanic friends, etc) to help me along the way. Plus researching this forum will come in handy.

This is something I been wanting to know as well. I think if you have the space and tools to do it you should be able to do it yourself. You may need to swap out some parts from engine to engine. Good luck
