Default UR Pulley Vs Nismo Flywheel

Hi guys i just wondering, because i'm considering to get a Pulley.
I just wanted to know the comparison between the UR pulley Vs Nismo Flywheel. In term the Acceleration, the easiness of revving.

Because the the Nismo flywheel is making a loud noise for me so i'm thinking to go back to stock but to replace the great Acceleration that the Flywheel have produce, was thinking the UR pulley.

Just wanted to know what you guys think?

Thanks

The NISMO flywheel makes a gravely sound at idle.. that is all. Normal and natural.

Why in the hells bells are you considering to swap it out to stock ?

The flywheel is great .. better shifting overall -- up and down. I have loved the change .. IMO.

just felt don't want to attract attention just because the gravely noise

But i'm still unsure and confuse if i should go back to stock. Because i like the Flywheel in term of Acceleration and Rev but the noise seems attracting attention during the stop on the red light or slow moving area.

That's what I was thinking...why not just get and use both?

If not, I call dibs on the flywheel....then I'LL use both. ; )

Hi Fairlady Z
But i'm just wondering, can your car when idle (after warm up) produce the gravely sound and can be heard from outside about 1Meter range?

1 meter = a little over 3 feet

ypwpat ----

Yes.. the gravelly sound is there... but barely... and only with acute hearing ability. It is not loud at all.

You also stated .... "Acceleration and Rev but the noise seems attracting attention during the stop on the red light or slow moving area."

If it is that loud.. something is wrong. Nobody could detect my flywheel sound under those conditions.

do you think it's because your nismo Exhaust help to reduce the noise?

Btw Fairlady
Are you getting the Nismo Large Airflow pipe?
How much is that going to cost you?

No... not related, I believe. The gravelly sound that I hear comes directly from under the hood....

Do you think an Engine Damper or TQ damper will help reduce the sound

The sound is coming from the flywheel... and what I can't understand what is such a small sound for me is so large for you.

Not certain if you did the flywheel change or had it done for you. I would recommend getting together with some of your OZ friends that might have done this swap and compare notes. Other option is back to the tuning shop if you didn't do it yourself and doing some benchmarking.

Hope it all works out. I love the NISMO flywheel. ! It has improved the shifting and this driver's satisfaction immeasurably.

Btw i have a different question now

Are you getting the Nismo Large Airflow pipe? I just want to know how much will that cost?

Thanks

Regarding the flywheel... here is the link to the other OZ member ... Z350Lover... regarding his experience which I think you have seen ---https://my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=64434

I am thinking about the new S1 system that includes the larger pipe. NISMO is not parting the system at this time... so no prices on separate parts..

yes i have met him in person and his Car sounds quieter than mine. But he think it might be possible that my Clutch has wear out more, which could cause the rattle.

But thanks for your info

I'm looking forward with your tuning with S1 Engine

Cheers

Why not try putting Dynomat under your hood?
