Default Upgrades coming... Decision time

I've got some installs coming up and want to get some ECU feelings for whats installed.

Flywheel and Clutch (see sig for details)
UR SS Pulley Kit

A. I've considered getting the Borla Headers (to match Borla Exhaust)
B. I've considered getting an ECU upgrade
C. I've considered removing AEM CAI and getting JWT Pop

Looking for best horsepower gain considering past mods...
CrawfordZ intake Manifold v.01 beta
Straight Through Pipes
Borla TD Exhaust

Now the Flywheel and Clutch are going in. The UR SS pulley kit is going in... now I'm stuck on Borla Headers, ECU Upgrade, and JWT. I'd like to get them all but have to be a bit rational as I just got new tires, rim repair, and kinetix who control arm kit (front and rear) running me in excess of $2300.

So for the mod masters and knowing that X+Y does necessary equal Z in the Z equation (no pun intended) which of these mods would serve me best for gains; A,B, or C?

Any input would be greatly appreciate and thanks in advance for your response.

I would not get the Borla headers simply because I don't feel that they are going to make much more power than stock. If you are going to go through the trouble of installing headers, go with either Crawford or Nismo. BTW, do you have any of the raspy sound with the Borla catback and the test pipes?

yeah... rasp all over the place. been dealing with it for 9 plus months now

so nay on the borla headers eh? those nismo headers are pretty damn expensive... i may check out crawfords...

so if u had the choice between headers, ecu, or pop for some gains ud say headers given the mods (testies n al)?

get the JWT popcharger for sure, good $100 investment compared to the $1K+ for either of your other mods. Plus you can sell your AEM.

Talking

Jesse,

hows it going Big Red!! Long time no talk...Hey I'm going to Japan again you going to join me?

Personally if you have the money I would spring for the JWT Cams if you do not want to go the forced induction route. I know its expensive but its probably the only way you'll notice a real difference.

I would not recommend installing the BORLA headers, the price is killer but keep in mind you have to pay for the labor too, unless your doing it yourself. For headers I like the price and design of the STILLEN ones and would have tried that route. I currently am running a set of crawford headers.. Also as you know your exhaust is going to be quite a bit louder..

As far as intake wait a little longer I might have a solution for you

Later Jesse!

Yuichi

Yuichi... I may just take you up on that offer if you're headed in the spring time. This time I think I'll stay downtown Tokyo versus out by Narita Airport

email me at jessiea@microsoft.com when you get the chance and let me know you're plans.

So just a question around headers with test pipes, many people are saying the real bottle neck in the exhaust system is the test pipes and not the headers. Anyone installed test pipes then headers and notice a gain in power?
