First oil change??
Hey guys,
I just turned 3000 miles on my '04 superblack z. I am going to change the oil and filter myself. Any suggestions on filter type and oil type for a moderate daily driver.
Thanks in advance ,
bigwes

The filter and oil are all a matter of preference (you'll get the whole gamut of filter selections from board members...), but just let me keep you apprised of the first oil change... that filter is on TIGHT! A lot of us had to tap the filter with a screwdriver to get it off, unless you buy a Nissan OEM oil filter wrench (I broke my old oil filter wrench on my first).
Thought I'd let you know.

Recommended weight (as per Nissan, your Owner's Manual should illustrate this) is SAE 5W-30. Be sure to have 5 quarts available.
Good luck, it's nice to bond with the car this way
