Default guaging intrest in B&M short shifter

I have a friend who deals with B&M and they told him about a short shifter they make for the 350Z which has not yet been released to the general public, and is not even on their website yet. My buddy wanted me to see if there is any interest in this item before he goes out and buys a ton of them. Price will most likely be about $175 each plus shipping. This shifter will decrease your throw about 30%. If this is something you would be interested in please post to this thread. This is not a place to order them, just a place to express any intrest you may have in this product. Thanks!

Default Short shifter

I now use the Rouge shifter and it works great.
I'm more concerned with the ability of the shifter to improving gate precision and feel (which the factory shifter lacks). The shorter throw is secondary (the factory shifter throw was adequate). The throw reduction on the Rougue was a plus.

So, If the B&M can exceed the Rougue design in these points , I woudl be willing to change.

I have the Rouge Short Shifter. Excellent product! Why wait? I don't see how you could improve what it does. Different product will be the same results.

I think we are going to wait until the end of the weekend just to make sure this is something people would want, and then on Monday we will most likely order about 50 of them. Once ordered it should take about 2 weeks for them to arrive at your door. To answer a few questions about the product:

1. it is made out of Airforce quality aluminum, which means it is light weight and super strong.
2. This shifter will dramitically increase gate percision, as well as reduce your throw by about 30%
3. I am sure the Rogue shifter is also a high quality device, but their website lists it at $239 plus shipping, this one would be $175 plus shipping.
4. B&M is a very highly respected company that makes an absolutely incredible product.

Hope this answers any/all questions, and i will post here once we decide to place the order, so that anyone interested can get me their info.

Thanks,
Dave

Default B&M

Does the B&M isolate the shifter shaft with a bonded rubber sleeve or equivalent. I note this as being a useful feature of the Rougue, and hopefuly of B&M. I've use B&M on domestic racers before and they were solid with no damping.

NY 350Z - did you guys isntall it yourselves? and how much shorter of a shift is it

This is a simple bolt on installation that can be done a half hour to 1 hour tops. The kit comes with a full set of detailed instructions, but you basically just remove the shift ****, pull up the center console, ubolt the old shifter, drop the new one in, bolt it down, replace the console and screw the shift **** back on. It really is that easy.

The B&M shifter actually has a titanium sleeve and has a lifetime warranty.
