It's mounted by the airbag sensor at the front of the car. Behind the grill and in front of the radiator.

Why were you hoping it was the MAF?

There is a temp sensor as part of the MAF, but it is wired directly to your ECU. I suppose you could tap into that, but you'd have to figure out what voltage means what.

I'm installing an intake charge temp gauge soon. I'll probably be wiring my sensor into the intake pipe.

For the same reason you are putting a gauge. I just wanted to know how Hot or cold the temp. being sucked in my intake. Thought that maybe Nissan killed 2 birds with 1 stone.

Get a CarChip or other OBDII monitor. It will allow you to read/record the MAF temperature.

Thats about $300... just to see the temp NOt worth it.
I can go to radio shack and get a digital thermamitor for about $25 and place the sencor on the intake

Yeah, I was gonna something like that, but a permanent gauge is more what I'm looking for. $50 for the gauge and sender, plus it almost exactly matches the digital combination gauge.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2463565111

I got them from this guy, however I didn't buy them through Ebay. Once I get mine installed with my A-pillar and depending on how they look, we've discussed a group buy so we can get the gauges even cheaper. I got them in an amber display so it will match my the interior of the Z.
