ok. i have a a/t tranny and have nismo exhaust and r/t cats. which should i do first. i was quoted $950 for a torque converter which the guy said with this done a stock auto would beat a stock manual. or do i go with the nismo headers in which i was quoted $1500 installed. i cant get both done at this time so which should i do first? the other will prob be done next summer or later this summer. need help and opinions thnx

I'd do TC first. Anybody know what the stall is on a stock Z?

Nismo headers? Or TC? Do the TC...

Crawford Headers, or TC? Do the Crawfords...

I ran one of our automatic cars, who has the entire Crawford package... (Note I have all BUT the headers), and we were running dead even. Usually I WALK away from automatics from a kick.

Stock stall is 2300, what is your goal?

The quarter? TC all the way man, and a tranny cooler.

Edit,

BTW is that 950 installed, I sure hope so but that still seems high.
You just drop the housing and pull out the verter, flash it put it back in add about 2 quarts and check your fluid after a few miles.
I've see it done in an hour on domestice and our housing appears to be similiar.

yeah the 950 is installed. i was planning on getting it done at performance motorsports on long island ny. i thought that the nismo headers were "supposed" to be the best ones out there? how much are the crawford headers? what exactly does the torque converter and the tranny cooler actually do? and also, how much louder will adding just a cai to my exhaust and r/t cats? which cai to go with? or just go popcharger. a lot of repeat questions but just dont feel like searching.
