Very good pic. It's nice to see someone actually *show* the problem and give some proof. It'd be nice if Nissan took notice of this and redesigned the plenum. (Won't hold my breath, though.)

On that note, what exactly is the fuel build-up in the 2nd to last pic? Is it all the black all over those first 2 pistons? I'm having a hard time figuring out what is what.

Yes it is the black stuff caked to the piston. Usually its bronzed/brown

We are also gasket matching, which is why we dicided to pull the heads, it also makes installing the headers a five minute job...so its better to take the hour and a half to just pull the entire thing..

Damn, up that compression dude!!! With those Tomei's and higher compression and what you currently have now, should make some additional power!!! Either way, sounds good so far! Much props to you!

Good luck on the dyno! Did you consider swapping the AEM CAI for the JWT Pop charger?

Thanks for the pics. Fun to see the insides of the engine.
Why not do the rods while you are in there?

Just from all the reading of CIA and the POPCHARGER...I'm mentally convinced that it'll make a difference...Tim your list of mods looks like a resume for a car...i'm definitely going to drop by...unless you'll be at the meet/dyno/bbq may 2nd?
