$2,500 cash....what would you do?
If someone was to give you $2,500 to spend on your car how would you spend it? Engine? Handing? Looks? A combo of all 3?
I am just curious. Here is what I would probably do.
Pop Charger $120
Pulley belts $250
Kinetix Plenum $450
Hi flow cats $300
Borla TD $750
Eibachs $200
NX Nitrous kit $500

I'm in the same boat man. I'm going to get Volks rims and Toyo tires. You guys have almost changed my mind though. Depends on what you want, performance, or looks. For me, if I'm going for the looks, the first thing necessary is rims and tires. Good luck

www.precisioninstallations.com has a Volk GT-C/Tire Package in 19" for $1650.00 with free shipping. That leaves just enough for the Borla TD if you install it yourself. www.jscspeed.com has the Borla TD for $719.00 with $1.00 shipping. I ordered mine week before last and had it in no time at all. A local shop did the installation for $45.00. That was much better than doing it myself on jack stands. You can always leave on your short intake and upgrade to a JWT Pop Charger later on since its a small purchase.

It depends on what you want to do with the car. If you want to drive on the street...maybe go for more looks and sound goodies such as Pop charger, exhaust, etc. If you are looking for maximum performance on street/track, I'd go the handling/braking route.
Pop Charger ($100)...improves soundtrack 1000%
Stickier tires ($750)...Kumho MX, BFG KD's
Adjustable Sway bars ($300-500)...you have springs, but this will help substantially with understeer.
Brake Pads, lines, Fluid (our stage I kit goes for $299 for our ss lines front and rear, Hawk HPS pads front and rear, and 3 bottles of Motul RBF600)...much better feel and fade resistance for street/autoX vs. stock setup.
...that leaves you with about $1000
Some options:
kick in a few more $ for some Lighter wheels...reduces unsprung weight...better handling.
Nismo LSD...gets you out of turns much more quickly...a dramatic improvement if you will track the car.
In my opinion, this path will give you more tangible improvements to your car's overall ability than jumping on any single engine mod. From what I've seen, you have to drop substantial $'s to make serious power and notice a dramatic difference in acceleration. It's easier to make the car handle and stop better, which translates directly to the pleasure of driving. Good luck.

Tilton flywheel/clutch/pressure plate assembly ($1,300 installed), DC headers ($450), test pipes ($300), and UR crank pulley ($150). These numbers are just estimated of some previous prices I've seen.

That sounds pretty good, but I would trade the NX kit for some sway bars.

I have a couple scenarios:
1. AutoX in BS class, so mods are limited:
Spare Wheels & R-compound tires = $2000
Hotchkiss or 350Evo front Sway Bar only = $200-$300
(Alternative is Koni Shocks = $750)
A bit over the limit if you choose the shocks, but not too much.
2. Track Day Car:
Stoptech 13" Front BBK = $2000
Hotchkiss or 350EVO Front & Rear Sways = $300-$400
3. Daily Driver Road Warrior:
Cat-Back Exhuast (Borla for me) = $800
Plenum (I prefer Kinetix) = $450
Hotchkiss or 350EVO sways = $300-$400
Koni Shocks = $750
Assortment of CD's = $250
-D'oh!
