The bolt should screw down tight. I know that on my V1 I had to drill/ ream the hole a bit with a drill because the hod didn't line up with where it screwed down. Maybe that's your problem too? Once it starts to thread it should continue until it sits flush with the top of the plenum.

Yeah, that bolt was the hardest one. On the v3 it is countersunk, which helps alot, but on mine, the countersunk area was a little off, so that when the bolt got tight, the lip of the countersunk area pushed the socket off of the bolt. I just gently pushed back, and it worked fine.

I also recently installed v.3 of the Kinetix. Anyone have any cracking problems yet? I think I saw where one forum member had a crack by the throttle body, but it seemed like an isolated case?
So far so good with v.3!

Am I the only one still going strong on the Version ONE plenum?

It seems everyone jumped right over from one to three or from two to three!

I am sure that eventually I will move *UP* to the version three but at the moment i have no problems so my moto is,

If it aint giving you any problems, leave it the **** alone!!!!!

btw - Chris, how the hell are you?

Hey Joe! Long time no see. I'm doing pretty good, how about you? Glad to hear that your V1 is still going strong. I'm still running my V2 with no issues so far.
